Hi, my name is Elke and I live in Austria (Europe)BIOIn summer 2001 I was surfing the internet, looking for wallpapers for my computer. Watching all those wonderful 3D images I began to wish that I'd be able to create pictures of my own. But I had no idea about anything not even what program I would need.
I started looking for freeware and found Terragen. Shortly afterwards a friend gave me a trial version of Bryce. Now I had 2 programs and no idea how to use them. *gg*
For some weeks I was testing, reading tutorials and really created 4 or 5 acceptable images. But neither did I have the patience nor the time to get really familiar with 3D. My family, my life and other interests (I also draw with pencils) always interfered with computer work so that at last I almost forgot about it.
In June 2003 I had a bad time and needed something that would take my mind off things. I remembered Terragen, downloaded it again and started to read tutorials intensively. But somehow it was not enough, I wanted more ... and then a dear friend showed me an article on Vue d'Esprit in a computer-magazine. I was instantly hooked, downloaded the trial and purchased the program only one week later.
I consider myself still as a beginner. I improved my skill as far as I was able to in these few months, and sometimes I think that I want too much. But I love creating pictures, and the feeling of joy and satisfaction when receiving a good result more than justifies the frustration and lack of sleep ;-) I will keep on working with both programs, but Vue is my favorite.
