Yeh, you're right about the scale problem; My own file has the ring at twice the width and thickness it should be and it still looks pretty skinny; the real problem though is that Bryce chokes when you try to build an actual scale file, too big! Jorg's ship looks cool, but is it a Kzinti ship or?

funny..it doesn't look like a General Products hull..;) it's as close as anything I've seen in the Known Worlds..;)

About the ship... it could be Kzinti. Or it could be anyone. However, Pakled is right; it is definately NOT a GP hull. I was thinking, since there are surely many peoples that inhabit "known space" logically sometimes some of them must come across the Ringworld. And finding something like this you would definately want to investigate. So, like I said, it could be anyone.

Very good render. Yes, isn't a GP hull, but doesn't matter. May be a Pak Protector ship? Congratulations.

Nicely done. Yeah, it would be impossible to get the scale right, but you did an excellent job of producing the feeling of a scene beyond imagining in distance and hugeness. The side of the ring nearest the ship gives me the chills in a majestic space opera sense. Cool!

I'm afraid I've never read the Ringworld books. I did finish reading Finn Family Moomintroll a few nights ago. But back to the picture....Very good image Jeff, gives us some idea of just how small we are.

Nice image and much, much better than the lamentable illustration on the book cover of my edition! Haven't read Ringworld (or any Larry Niven) for a long time now. Seeing this makes me want to go back and reread some of the Known Space books...
