Dachte eigentlich zuerst es soll Schnee sein - ist aber eigentlich egal, die surface sieht klasse aus und es ist ein wunderbares Landschaftsbild. - Just beautiful! Excellent work!

The expanse of this view makes me believe this is a photograph. The color of the sky and the haze together add much to the realism. Maybe, if you change the color of 'white' to more of a 'gray' color with more bumpiness, it might appear to be more like limestone than snow. Maybe two more layers of different gray colors over the base gray would eliminate the idea of snow. As it is, this picture has been masterfully done.

Very expansive and gives a convincing illusion of depth, substance and texture. Atmospherics are very good indeed and....I like it as snow instead of limestone.

A really nice image!!

Flagstone is white and Limestone is mainly a light gray, or white with light grays and some times touches of blue clay. I used to did a lot in the stone quarrys looking for fossils.. Nice picture.. Well done

Wonderful surface, sky and lighting, very nice terrain too.

Oh! I thought it was snow, Doro. Perhaps you can try changing it to a darker gray with more pronounced bumps but then again that might look like dirty snow. I honestly don't know. What I love about this is the curve of the land and the sun rays. They're just beautiful and so realistic!

Yeah, it kinda does look more like patchy snow; nice surface all the same though - love the sky, lighting and pov

why not snow ??? the latest snows in moutains seems that !!
christianfly
For my opinion, it is very near from the reality, and the pov / depth make it absolutly real. Bravo!!

Just keep experimenting Dotthy! I know you will find a perfect combination for limestone! ;>D

Yep definitely grey in the rock even a little taupe (grey/brown colour - more grey than brown). I still love the pic and think if you change the title to first snow - we'll be none the wiser! LOL I look forward to the next. ;)

I like the atmosphere!

You could make it slightly yellowish and use strata, kind of flat rocks with the strata very close together. Limestone would tend to lie in layers. This is too fractalized. I love this image, though, especially the medium to distant mountains on the left.

nice picture...it looks very realistic. I agree, maybe the "limestone" is too white...but it's the only default i see.
