Nice looking pic! You're doing very good work, and I encourage you in your pursuits ... The thing that "jumps out" at me in this is the anti-aliasing -- particularly on the edges of the shadows. Make sure your AA is set to "best", and increase the sampling if necessary to get smoother edges with less "jaggies". Your texturing looks very good, except for ... the material on the steps, floor, and bannister. There seem to be "overly-white" blotches in the material, and that causes a loss-of-detail in those areas. If you could get those "toned-down" a little, I think you'll like the result. Perhaps a bump-map with some generic, small-scale noise would also improve the shading on that material. All in all, this is a very nice scene, interesting point-of-view, and it has a nice tone and feel to it. Fix the AA, play with the lighting and materials a little more, and this cold be a really great pic! Nice Job! Keep it up!

Thank you PowerRoy. The reaon for the composition was as an exorcise for myself in the very areas you have criticised, so thank you for those directives. I will now try and put them into practice!

This is excellent, love the textures and lighting. Very well done.

The vast majority of this is superb.. beautiful detail, textures are scaled just perfectly, and lightingis dead on. The "give away" is the human... even at it's small scale, it's just no tup to par with the rest of this fabulous image. Is that a Poser image?

Aside from the anitaliasing broblem, a great scene, very timetypical. Great texturing and POV!! :))

Very well made and lit. Ditto about the antialiasing.

I'm so glad to see such fine architecture work with a human figure in the scene!
