Description

Here is another photo of the Mama duck and her last brood, when they were just hatchlings and still in the nest. Her nest just happened to be beneath a big ficas bush in my backyard. This is as close as I could get, she was VERY protective. I don't blame her though, those little ones were so cute! Thanks for viewing and for your comments. Olympus C-3030z

Intensely cute ducklings! I have to admit I've never seen that kind of duck before. I love all ducks! You're lucky you have them so close to you. It is an amazing closeup of a protective mother duck.

Mama duck is very unusual looking. She almost looks turky-ish! Cute photo with the fuzzy little ducklings.

They are indeed VERY cute, the ducklings... no offence but the mother is a bit... not so cute :o)) Excellent shot ! I know of a garden where a swan has been breeding( or brooding ? or whatever :o) ) right next to the entrance path hehe... I have photo of it too, maybe ill upload one of them...

The Muscovy ducks are not the prettiest breed, and this particular batch around my lake is especially ugly. Believe it or not, the mom here is the best looking of the bunch. *
