I feel that I'm starting to mature a bit in my digital art, yet I still have a way to go to compare with what I can accomplish with a good old peice of charcoal. I am learning though, and having a fabulous time at that. I would appreciate any constructive comments that may come my way. Every little bit helps.
Thanks for looking
BIOI'm an emergency nurse at a very busy hospital in Oregon. Now that I've gotten the digital art bug, I think given the opportunity years ago, I'd have changed my major. My goal is to go back to school once my kids are grown and get that elusive art degree and perhaps have a second career to sustain me through retirement. Alas, retirement is still MANY years in the future.

excellent macro, love the way you made the snake stand out in its own color.

fabulous closeup... could be a posted a bit smaller to keep from scrolling in both directions... great pic for selective coloring, if it was resized the edges wouldn't show as much... hope you don't mind my suggestion, still a very cute shot, luv the little hands too... just like a kid to have a snake for a best friend :]

I thought about resizing it, but every time I tried the image lost something ... and the color of the snake wasn't as defined. Any suggestions for making it smaller and retaining the integrity of the image???
