Thanks for viewing !
Comments are welcome...
Several people have told me that these animals are called 'Dragonflies' in english. But i have doubts because in the dutch language we have two distinct names for the really big ones and the smaller ones. The big ones such as Gomphidea and Aeshnidae are called 'Libellen' in dutch and those are the ones that imo are called Dragonflies in english. The smaller ones such as the ones in the photos are called 'Waterjuffers' in dutch. I cant find it on the internet... so if you can help me... please, please :o))
Many thanks,
Enmos

Perect DoF! Two excellent captures - of two 'dragonflies' :)
In german there is only 'Libelle'. What is known in german as 'Wasserlfer' looks like mosquitos running along water.

Thanks for the comment and the rating Haroon !!! In dutch 'Wasserlfer' is 'Schaatsenrijder' LOL :o)

This is called a damselfly. A damselfly stores its wings vertically. A dragonfly stores its wings horizontally.
