the night is raining
quietly
further away
Â
I'm standing
in front of my window
naked
nothing to hide
Â
I feel some raindrops
burning my eyes
my cheeks
my chin
Â
somewhere
there's a light
people are surviving
Â
somewhere
far away
Â
maybe
Â
it's you

My heart aches for your loss. We are blessed to have these sweet companions by our side. Their love will be cherished long after they are gone. A fitting tribute for such a lovely being.

What a wonderful way to celebrate urchin's life and memory! Be comforted in the knowledge that your grief is shared. May you meet again in another time and another life.

I'm not good at choosing the right words for these things, specially in English (not my mother language), but animals are beings that warm up our hearts when no human can. I thank you for giving your friend a good life, since sadly not all animals have that. I have Kia (my new kitty) here beside me and she says "meow" to Urchin and your family. :)

Just saw this today, but I had to tell you that I know exactly how you feel. My Chloe died April 9 2004. She passed being held by those she loved best, and I know that she is somewhere playing beyond the Rainbow Bridge as well. He was a beautiful animal, and no doubt, a faithful friend.
