Description

Thanks to Sackrat for pointing out that my last picture was an O'Neil colony. I did some searching and found another picture I remember from being a lad of a torus station. So here it is. You might notice the central spoke is the station from my last picture. Waste not want not. ;-) I'm trying to work out how to get lakes into it, but it's not as easy in a torus as in a tube. Might need to muck around with duplicate torus and negative terrains. Sorry it's a little long, but I think scrolling works in this case. Thanks for all the comments on the last one. I hope this meets with your approval.

Another great one ! You know,......you gotta wonder,.....would these things actually work ? O'Neil was a very smart guy,......he was right about a lot of stuff, so I assume he was on course with this idea too. Anyway good job.

keep up the gigantic space habitat illustrations. You are very good at this and getting better with each one. I like how the foreground trees help to define the space and scale.

I think it's awesome hon.. as always.. Awesome POV too.. Have you thought about trying Metaballs for the lake..?? I know it's a little more difficult, and the render time will be crazy.. but I have seen Joe do some great stuff with Metaballs =)
