Description

This is a very quick render of another tangent I'm off on. I know some of you are after finished planets and I have loads in development but still none finished. I've only been working with Mojo for a fairly short time. Eventually I'll get one finished. I like working on several at once because an idea that doesn't work on one planet sometimes is perfect for another. Driving the terrain result scale with another fractal is a great technique as I discovered with this planet. Thanks for all your comments.

Yep, playing with a fractal for the Result scale does some interesting things!! You can accomplish about the same thing in the curve editor, but IMHO, a fractal adds a little more to the overall detail.. Why? because of the "shape" of the fractal.. Of course, the more fractals you use the more complex a worl becomes and that's when they start to slow down.. have you tried using "noise" instead of a fractal to drive the RS? That would work too, and noise is faster than a fractal.

Ahh the planet tease again! Another wowser, I don't want to wait for you to finish haha, I will work with the "uncomplete" ones. Excellent and I really love the way the sand is spread over the rock formation.

Great work! yes, fractals in RS are very handy at building the displacements, working as masks in 2d software:)

Excellent work. You sure are producing some real stunners in the planetary looks department ...as Z's regular comments prove ....lol

The rocks and sand are outstanding. The sky is totally nondescript.
