The grass and the strata look fantastic in this, but I'm inclined to agree about the water. It quite seem to fit to me, maybe a lighter blue and more transparent? Just a suggestion.

The striations are crossing boundaries they could not cross in the depth as they run down by the river because they are too straight. They jog nicely over the shifts in direction of the canyon wall. I would place this in Wyoming and watch out for rustler steers in the quicksand.
