Description

Hello all. Been a long time. Real Life has kept me far to busy to work on any art, which is sad really. (Although I can say, I am getting really close to finishing my novel, which should have a mid-end of summer release!! I'll keep you posted). Anyhow, I wanted to do something with my art programs, so I popped open Vue and started to mess with a scene that was in my head for quite sometime. It isn't exactly as I saw it (there was more forest involved, but the more trees I added, the more cluttered it all became). I am pleased with the outcome of this peaceful place, high above the woes of civilization. I have had this sitting on my hard drive for about 4 days now, and decided it was time to post it. Please let me know what you think of this simple image. As always comments and tips welcomed. Thanks for looking, --Eryk Rendered in Vue, Post work in Microsoft PhotoDraw V2. All vue items except for the cabin, which I found in an old folder I had marked "Freebies". Not sure wher eit came from, but I thank who ever made it. It is a beauty.

Nice serene setting Eryk. Makes me think of a scene from a western novel maybe :)

very nice :) would it be possible to do me a liiiiitle favor? try rendering this during sunset. have the sun sinking down in the ocean (yes, of course you have to put an ocean, all vue scenes have to have an ocean!! hehe) and casting soft rosey-red colours onto the cliff and the house. it might end up looking crap, but i can so picture this scene during sunset... just beautiful :D all it needs now is a sattellite dish for internet and TV and a MASSIVE pool taking up the rest of that cliff ledge!! hehe

I think maybe I do prefer this one, I like the way you've lit the side of the cliff in this, and the light coming from with in the cabin is a nice touch

Hey Had to come by and check out your stuff. I like it very much. This piece is beautiful. The lighting seems like the sun has set with the exception of a sliver, which would give your scene the interesting lighting. Lighting like this would also be created during an eclipse of the sun just moments before totality or just after. Also planets with distant suns would do the same. I hope this gives you some different perpectives. I love this moment and light that I see here. See you around
