This is the first photo made with my new Coolpix 8700. I still need a lot of exercise though...
I've been following this little creature for weeks now. It's roaming my strawberry-plants :o)
Every once in a while i see it bathing in the sun on a strawberry leaf. Although it has gotten a little bit bigger since i first spotted it, it's still very small (about 3-4 mm bodylenght) so i dont know wether it's a baby cricket or not. Anyhow, i can't find it anywhere on the internet or in my (very limited) insect books. So i was wondering if any of you might know what it is. Im fairly certain that is a cricket though... but what kind i don't know...
Many thanks,
Enmos

I was expecting something super duper for today and here you are with something above my expectation. Most awesome, I love the way it moves it aerial. As for the name of the insect...... I have no clue at all. One best way to find it out would be to find out sites that have information on strawberry and strawberry plants........ there sure must be a reference about it. But like I say always,,,,,,,,,, It's the beauty of the capture and lights etc that really matter to me as a photographer rather than the species..... I know one thing, mother nature can not stop amazing me and this is an outstanding example of that. Thanks my friend for sharing. V

Have you thought of naming it and submitting it to the Entimologists? (I'm not sure if that's how it's spelled) It could be an Enmos Renderositus.
