I have been playing with Poser5 for about a year now. I still don't have the resources to create my own original models, textures, etc. but so far I have learned to modify existing ones.BIOMy artistic development started with sketching, and gradually branched out to other media, from paint, to sculpture, to digital. Currently I do alot of my artwork in Adobe Illustrator. I haven't completely mastered the program yet but I know enough to get around what I don't know.
I use two styles, one I'd describe as "abbreviated realism" and the other is more manga/anime inspired. I prefer fantastic subjects over the mundane, and most of my works appear illustrative as I have never had much luck with detailed backgrounds.

This is brilliant! How on earth did you do THAT! The water is really fantastic, this is the kind of image you'd expect from Terragen, not from Poser! Excellent work.

Thanks!! I didn't think a Nature/Landscape entry in the Poser gallery would get viewed much. ^_^ Since y'all asked, it's a Poser5 Firefly render taking advantage of raytraced reflections for the water. The water ripples are a bump map from MicroCosm. The volumetrics are a trick of spotlights and a few very translucent planes with ambience layered through the scene... if you look real closely at the big cliff on the right you may be able to see a couple of faint lines where two of the translucent planes bisect the cliff. The only postwork is a bit of roughing of the cliff edges to make them look like they have vegetation on them.
