Description

Looking towards the west, where clarity is conquering the sky things look different. Having another point of view in life freshens the thoughts. I've suffered from a moderate depression a couple of months ago, and on this occasion things appeared to be so absolute. I saw no way out. I'm glad this did not last so long, but it was a frightening experience. What a piece of work is a man, but how fragile as well! I'm glad I can moderate again, but I learnt to give no easy judgement on people suffering from depressions! Black holes are great for astronomers, but man is not to be absorbed in them! Tempests and silences come and go in life. Some can be influenced, some cannot. Silences provide rest to grow, to build, to enjoy. Tempests shake us and make us aware of what important is. I hope you're finding your way to manage between turbulent and silent periods in your life. Minolta X-700 (Fuji Sensia 100, 50 mm) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

Deep and moving thoughts, and an even more impressive view than yesterday's 'Calming Down.' I agree, it is so good it almost could be a Bryce image...but it's too good for that, not to put Bryce down. ;^] I'm glad you are in a better place now.

Once again a piece of art. If it is of any comfort to you, let me remind you that most great artists had depressions as well. So please do not cut off one of your ears and try to remind yourself of all the beauty out there.

JVC, I lived with post partum depression for 4 years before anyone figured out why I was in a permanent dark cloud. It's frightening to feel that way and would never wish it on anyone. When I came out of the cloud, it was like I was renewed...spiritually, mentally, physically. I am so glad you've come through this experience and hope its not something you'll have to deal with again. Always remember to rely on the help of your higher power and your loved ones to get you through the tough times. I love how your photos have been expressing how you feel.

I enjoy seeing the different layers of clouds and mist as well as the overall colour of the shot...The Joy of the Lord is my strength and shield in times of trouble and doubt. [];^)

Beautiful low light shot, looks very much like fantasy. The Silhouette at the front adds great depth to the image. Excellent for me.

Another breathtaking scene! The clouds lying low on the mountains and the fog on the water are incredible! And i love the silhouetted trees in the foreground. i, too, have been through a depression in my life, and i didn't think I'd ever find my way out of that black hole. we ARE fragile beings but at the same time there is a great strength in us. We have to rely on our faith and our God to get us through these times when we have plummeted to the depths of our despair. A beautiful image and words!!! Vote!

What a beautiful piece of art! Perfect tones to express your feelings! Your words...moving. it's a terrible thing when the black hole has you in it's grip....
