Description
I'm impressed with this software!
After a messing with it for a bit, I managed to set up this image.
Half way through the first render, my machine started approaching meltdown, the alarms were beeping and the warning screen flashed up, so I had to cut power pretty quick.
First time it has ever happened, it was night, but quite warm, and on futher inspection it looked like my wife had emptied the contents of the hoover into my PC case. Anyway, that's sorted now.
Second render took over two and a half hours, but I wasn't happy with it.
A few hours later and with several renders with different settings, I finally settled on this one.
If you look carefully I'm sure you can see Nessie just under the surface ;-)

Simplicity
Nice pov atmos and water but you should increase the image detail before rendering.
EoinArmstrong
Looks interesting - but what about the detail?
SageNonions
Hmm, for those wondering, I'll explain about detail. There are some high detail renders of this but as I say in my write up, this was the render(I did many with different settings) that was my favourite. If I had posted a High rez version, the title would not have fitted the piece so well do you not think? Besides, the world and his dog are doing hi rez photo realistic renders, I try to be different and maybe show that things don't have to be a certain way. I do suggest looking at the title of pieces, and maybe even reading the write up if there is one, alot can be explained that way. Besides that, I do thank you for commenting, and I'm sorry if I sound a bit pissed, I just get fed up of being told, hey NO!, do it like I'm doing it! Thankyou, SageNOnions.

I wondered if you had done a low res version on purpose. That's OK with me. You'd probably get away with it better if you had posted other images and made note of the fact that this one is low res on purpose. :)

Thanks PatGoltz, Sounds like good advice to me. I suppose that is what Simplicity and EoinArmstrong were implying, but I don't have enough experience to realise. Sorry for sounding off in the other comment, I was stressed. Thanks again PatGoltz for the great advice!
