Wonderful landscape. Just watched the movie 'Hidalgo', there were dunes like this in that. What a daunting prospect to cross it!.

Glamis, California. South of the Salton Sea, near Mexico. Largest sand dune area in the Western Hemisphere. I used to go once a month with my son and our awesome dune buggy. Pictures later.

Yeah, you non-desert dwellers wouldn't understand "duning" - we actually get our all terrian vehicles and ride all over these things! I live near the dunes in California, just on the Arizona border...might even be the same ones as these in the picture. Fantastic shot!

oh... ok!!!! .... i get it, you're showing us your dune-buggy tire-tracks!!! really though this is an awesome pic as we dont have sand here in ohio and its wonderful and refreshing to se this wind formatted terrain!! awesome catch!! :o)

Wow. The last time i saw dunes like these were when me and my family went quad biking in the Namib desert. a nice panoramic shot.
