Description
- This is a photo I shot a couple wks ago I felt it was to postworked for to post in photog - I shot this with the idea of using it to create a image representing the aura surrounding the term religion rather a statement etc. type of work - any way thank you for your kindness and tolerence in viewing my work :) & take care -

It is a very striking image, interesting work. The terms "religion" and "intolerance" are overused today as terms of disparagement. I personally believe faith in a single, loving, creator God is a good thing, and I do believe there are absolutes regarding right and wrong. If that makes me "intolerant", then that's a label I guess I'll wear. I try to treat people with respect no matter what, but I think everyone, including people of faith, should be allowed to stand for what they believe. No one should feel threatened just because someone else calls their position wrong or argues for something else. Words and ideas are not weapons. That's what open debate and the free exchange of ideas is for. Again, I applaud the artistry here.

What really impresses me about this artistic photo Greg is you beautiful 'point of view' in the shot. One of the signs of a great artist is recognized by how they present each of their subjects. Anyone can grab a camera - point and shoot - it's quite another thing to compose the subject properly bringing out the best points of the composition. The central most important figure here is the center of attention with a reverential viewpoint looking upward. The skies reflect the dismal moment, even though the sacrifice was essential for the benefit of those accepting the ransom. Truly a wonderful meaningful image.

Wonderful, excellent, touching. I agree with servo. I am intolerant of murder; mistreating children, or adults, intolerant of those who do not keep their vows to one they married or to the one to whom they gave birth; but then, so was my Lord Jesus. And being a Christian has nothing to do with "religion" as our society views religion, being a Christian is a way of life, and the only place one can find a saviour.
