I live in Texas. I am attending Baylor University studying Computer Science. I discovered the world of computer-generated art about two year agos. I currently have Terragen, Bryce 5(modelling in Wings 3D), and PhotoShop CS 2 at my disposal. I am also picking up photography and having a lot of fun with the Canon Rebel T2 I have.BIOI do everything on my laptop. It is a Toshiba Satellite 2455-S305 with a 2.4GHz P4 processor, upgraded to 1 GB of DDR SDRAM, a 32MB nVidia graphics card, 80GB HD with the old 60GB HD hooked up one of the USB ports, and a DVD-RAM/-RW combo-drive in a hot-swappable bay. I have the unregistered version of Terragen which I have been playing around with. I also have Bryce 5 and PhotoShop CS 2. I think I will have a lot of fun with them. I am happy to have three great programs to work with. I also have a Canon T2 Rebel with the kit lense, a 75-300mm USM III telephoto lense, and a 50mm f1.8 II lense, with UV, polarizing, and 81A filters. Please feel free to comment on anything. I would really like to know what I can improve in my images.

hm, I do not like the colours, nor the mountains, okay, thats subjektiv, but interesting for me is the line in the sand, and the sand gets darker towards the water, that gives a wet impression, only the shore doesent fit to the coastline

Nice work - pretty good 3d clouds! Ok, when I understood you correctly you want suggestions for improvement, right? Ok, the title of this image is 'Pollution' so I will not nag about the colors ;-) When I look at the surface I think you've read Dotthy's beach tutorial, right? If not, do it - it's great! I think bumpiness and distribution of beach surface layers is pretty good but try making the wet sand a bit darker. Also I would give the mountains an other surface than the sand. Cause your terrain has not much detail I would give the mountain layer(s) more bump - then try raising the setting for mimic terrain. Basic rule: The more layers (and child layers), the better the look! Concerning the shore and the coastline: as far as I know, this works better on really low slopes, I think yours is to high. And just play with the shore settings - maybe raise the peak spacing in advanced settings. Keep it up - you're on the right track!
