Welcome to my little corner of Renderosity. I am interested in many things besides art, for example, languages. I read 15 languages, and I have 140 languages on my web site. I don't really write other languages, though, so don't be surprised if I leave a broken comment for you. :) Please feel free to leave me a comment in another language, too.
Prints of my art can be purchased at deviantARTBIOThese days, my entire life is gathered around art in some form or another. I have a bachelor's degree in art, which I chose so I wouldn't have to sit in a classroom all day listening to people talk. :) I got very serious about art after the last of our seven children left home. Prior to that, I was busy homeschooling them. Besides visual arts, I love to make music. I play piano, organ, recorder (a wooden instrument somewhat like a flute), and classical guitar, and I sing. In the past, I have also played gamelan (a gamelan orchestra consists of sets of tuned metal gongs and bells with a couple of drums, and originated in Asia in places like Bali), I rehearsed for awhile with the local balalaika orchestra, playing autoharp, and I have studied with Xochimoki, a Latin American native musical group. In addition to music, I practice the martial art of taekwondo. I have a second degree black belt. Concrete art for me includes pottery (I sometimes design my own glazes, and I especially love raku), a little bit of sculpture, needlepoint (I use fancy yarns and stitches and sometimes invent my own), macrame, circular weaving, and I draw in color pencil. I also like to design artistic web sites. I have a passion for photography, and I am slowly working my way through scenic sites in Arizona and neighboring states. In digital art, I make art in Terragen, Bryce, Vue d'Esprit, Ultrafractal, Xenodream, and Apophysis. I am trying to learn Mojoworld. In addition to my sponsor site, you can see more of my art at my professional site: Extraplicity. Prints of many of my images are available at deviantART.
Spiritually, I am an heiress to the wonderful doctrinal legacy of Martin Luther, and a joint heiress with Christ. Soli Deo Gloria.

Not to give you any hints or anything, but think outside the box on this one. That's what I'm gonna do. Good luck!

Nice use of pastel colors... Good depth..

All those ages found at fault and cut by rivers. I may retreat to the basalt and quartz of the Mother Lode.
Montanan
I like the birds eye view of the river below. I have never been able to figure out strata, looks like good color gradiations to me. Good work

Great pov (watch for end of terrain) and strata - is the terrain a little blocky (the river esp); nice 'n' moody colour schema
Snow_Angel
Pat this is very cool I can't believe the depth of view, really beautiful! The strata is awesome and gives this a great mood. I agree with Eoin, on the water ending at the terrain line, fix that and it will be an instant winner! V :)
StuffedGrizzly
So excellent strata and lighting!! Water reflection is fantastic!!
Micter
Excellent choice of colors, and pov ! I agree with above about the end of the terrain. The strata are maybe viewed from too near, and that's why they look a bit strange (it already happens to me once).
Arterian
I like this it gives me the feeling I had when watching rafts going down the colorado from the south rim the strata is very good.
criss
Unfortunately, I see again the end of terrain. You can hide the end of terrain with more haze, or lower the pov for example. Now, I like the sky color! :)
bebert
i agree with criss. nice river.

De bien belles couleurs pour les strates ;) Bon pour la fin du terrain , je crois que c'est dit :)))
