Just a l'il bit darker than usual :-) Demonic Landscape A barren wasteland Stretching endlessly, Unmarred by such mundanities, As life. Scarred earth, Blue-black clouds, A bruise swelling, Ugly in its pain. Here the demons fly. Searing lava, Runs where rivers, Once flowed with life, Giving joy to the land, No more the verdant, Pastures grow, No life here, But my half-life. Here the demons stalk. My agonised soul, Battered as the black rocks, Strewn thoughtlessly, As far as the eye can see, Chill grey wind, A haunting howl, Cuts deep to the bone, Destroys me. Here the demons gorge Possessing my pain, Eagerly they suck, The last scraps of humanity, Released in anguish. Despair is their meal, Yet for cruelty they still, Tear flesh from the last remnants, Of my tortured visage.
