Description
I would reach a better level of realism. What can you suggest me ?? I'm working on the roof.
No Radiosity, only 3 lights.
Thanks for all. ;)

I like the overall design of this but I would reconsider how you did the door; the temple takes quite a cubic, square-edged in shape, but the door is an arch, maybe you should change it to something more rectangular, maybe even giving it a bulky design, with similar columns to those on the collonade. I can't tell whether the decorations on the columns are bump mapped or modelled, but they look quite good, if they are bump mapped I would consider modelling them, they cant be that many extra polys, and it would add to the realism of the scene.

Thanks Punmaster for the comment. The structure is in Nurbs but, I probably exagerate with the subweightpach (100%) and the result is a little bit square. I'll try to change it. For the collumns the details are polygonal. I'm not sure that the structure will have a door. The structure is an alien temple, I'm trying to create something like Theed palaces in StarWars.

Great lightiing and textures! ;-)

well..I think it's a great entrance..I'd extend the architecture to the back, and to the sides..walls, doors, whatever trips your trigger..;) The columns look fine to me..keep at it.

Thanks Pakled. Ok for the extension ;)

"reach a better level of realism" Well, its quite good as it is, but what's it missing? A sense of what it is-- that is, the visual details that tell a story. It helps to think about the "backstory" for anything like this. You say its a palace: Who built it? Who lives in it now? Its missing any sense of human activity-- the style strikes me as vaguely Minoan/Aztec in influence; you can take a look at some photos of buildings from those civilizations to get a sense of what kinds of details you might add. . .

The design, modeling and textures are very, very good. The only thing that bothers me is the texture for the roof, it's pinching at the apex... perhaps a procedural with gradients would work more effectively. More, please. :o)
