Description

If I ran away, I'd never have the strength to go very far, how would you hear the beating of my heart? Will it grow cold, the secret that I hide, will I grow old, how will you hear, when will I learn, how will I know? I know where beauty lives, I've seen it once I know the warmth she gives, the light I could never see it shines inside of me. A man can tell a thousand lies, I've learned my lesson well, hope I live to tell (words from "Live to Tell" by Madonna) (to a very special person....) Poser/Photoshop

Syyd this is sad, beautiful, haunting, wonderful and brilliant. The pain is so pronounced in her eyes it sents chills down my spine. Your work is always so moving! Brilliant work!

It's her eyes that capture and hold me, the conflict and duality I feel from them, expressed through colour, texture and pose. The bit of texture over her right eye reminds me vaguely of rust/gritty sediment, as if she's seeing, opening her eyes after much time to truth. The colours speak directly to the light and shine and beauty within us all. Very moving piece.

Plain gorgeous!! It grabs me and just pulls me towards the screen somehow. It's captivating, emotional......simply one hell of a piece of art! Love & hugs, Johnnie...

Pure and simple, your work shreds the soul, Syyd. Always eliciting a visceral, and therefore definition-defying reaction from the viewer.

Beautifully sad. She looks like she is afraid of being blown away by her fears. Fantastic Syyd. And great to see you back in this style for a while. Love you...C...XXX

I do like this kind of "painting experiments" - your brush's really got the colors of autumn, that's almost as worm as fire - congrats !

He laid down besides her, noticing the ashes that had settled on her great wings, in one gentle moment he blew a breeze across her form and the dust of ages vaporized and vainished, a glimmering flash of light pierced the void as her golden wings were revealed once again....you could hear the angles singing and the bells of freedom chiming in the distance............
