Description
Setting suns usually result in dark skies, difficult to get on film. Oh yes, I've made star shots as well, but with my equipment it is not so great as I experience the sky, or does it sound a little as a perfectionist? An exposure is just a 2D projection and the experience is far richer. Anyway, this is the last cloudscape of this sunset and tomorrow follows the view of the succeeding day.
Because the light is diminishing the grain of the film is becoming more visible. It supports the mood, I guess. With ISO 100 the grain is usually difficult to be noticed but especially with rising and setting suns it has an extra effect on the atmosphere. While the clouds slowly vaporize and the lower ones sink down into the valley my mind also calms down. Silence in the heart. If you don't know the tempests in the heart you wouldn't probably value silence as I do now. I hope you will enjoy your weekend. Peace on you!

I can see your point on the grains effect in the cloudscapes, Ive tried both and I feel like here when going for a dramatic feel, the grains add to that.. Whiel trying for romance i feel that iso 100 is the way to go, Love the shoot here..

i can only imagine being there to see such a breathtaking sky!!! It's a place where everything is oblivious except for the sounds of silence. In philosphy class we talked about "Is silence nothing, the absence of something, or it it something else all together. For some, silence can be deafening. For me, silence a moment in time where if you listen hard enough, you can hear the breathing of the Earth.
