Description

Photoshop for sepia-tone and blur, Maya for everything else. *** *** *** Hi everyone. I hope you're having a good time as always :) ______ This (the glasses) is my first Maya model... I know it sucks big time, but... what incredible fun working with this fantastic software! :) ______ This is another little tribute to my favourite piano player of all time, Glenn Gould. Other than play piano in a god-like manner, he used to wear big glasses, both in recording studios and in everyday life. ______ Take care and thanks a lot for all your comments and support on my previous images. I'm very, very open to critics and suggestions: if you want to tear apart my poor modeling, please do it, 'cuz I want to learn. Have a good day :) Stefano

No Don't think it sucks at all. Just browse around and see other "First Works in MaYA". The whole thing looks really good. If not the render sure displays it best it can. Nice job. Maybe you could try enrichening it with other materials at some time. Sort of looks like it is made of solid glass.

I like the glasses - I have never made any models so they look pretty cool to me. I like the lighting and tone of the image - nice work!

Marvelous! The placard is fantastic, and the sphere anchors the piece wonderfully, giving us more of a sense of the surroundings. You did a great job on the glasses, with just enough reflectivity and refractivity to make it realistic!

I know it sucks big time, but...
Run that by me again?! What would it take to make you think you'd done well? Don't be so hard on yourself. I think they're excellent!
