we went out to a freinds cottage on May 30th 2004, freinds been takeing me out,I've gotten some new shots thanks to my daughter developing them just as I want then,I'll be posting some new very new shots,it felt good to be back at it again :0) I upgraded my camera too cannon ElanII :0) & we came across this big beauty,lol looks like something out of a nightmare they get wings when they turn adult & like to hang around fast flowing water, the mandilbles are about half an inch,they hurt like BLEEP BLEEP if you get bit,some say it feels like you put your hand boiling water so don't be picking any up lol anyone one ever seen the movie the tinggler? looks alot like the thing in it I hope you enjoy,don't gross out to much lol I love bugs

it is in larva state had just come out of the ground it wasabout 4 inches or more long, they'er olny suppost to get 3 inches but this one was huge it was almost an inch wide,it's called a it's an eastren male Dobsonfly larva you should see the adult male cool

We use to use these for fish bait . Always called these Helgramites . And yes , can inflict a rather nasty bite . Good shot :)

Good God I hope I never meet this thing in person. It's funny, I was thinking, the only way this bug could get scarier is if it had wings and there you go, telling me it grows wings. EWWWWW
