Description
This render is inspired by an illustration of the book "Legend Castles" by David Day.
I would make a short film with this scene. The fortress symbolizes the barrier that retains the freedom, the girl cries and she hopes to see the day in that freedom transcends the hard barrier of the intolerance and it returns us the illusion for a better world.
The fortress and the waves were modeled in Lightwave 3D, The girl is a poser 5 model, environment, texture and illumination by Vue professional. This picture has been selected as picture of the day in the web site of e-on software to date of 02/07/2004

Great modelling and even from the thumbnail it was evident that the water was something special, as almost everyone has commented. I also like the subtle sky, which provides a good tonal balance for the composition.
My only small criticism is that the scale doesn't seem quite right; the fortress looks a bit too small for its apparent distance from the foreground figure. Nonetheless, a very pleasing piece.

Very good scene (piece ?). Simple & so nice. One thing, the castle is a bit flat (2d). Perhaps one more light or different texture...anyway great mood.
