Description

Old Imagine images seems like a popular theme. This dates back 4 years. Produced with Imagine 4 (I think, maybe 5) on an Amiga 1200-030 @ 42Mhz + 32Mb ram :) Or maybe I'd got the 50Mhz 060 and 64Mb of ram by then, memory is somewhat jaded. . . Modelled, textured and rendered in Imagine, then stuck on the background with photogenics... is that allowed? :)

Allowed and encouraged; especially with respect to multi-pass renders. This is a great start on an eyeball.

Hiya Andy, welcome to the gallery, hope to see more from you here. We seem to be being remembered by more Amigans of late...that's a good thing. Are you also antsy whilst you awaite AmigaOne...I run a pc now and I certainly am...always considered the Amiga THE graphics computer, and but for the brain dead attitudes of the folks at Commodore, it still would be.Also you might stop by www.imagine3d.org for even more Imagine fun. That is if you're not already there under a handle I don't get...LOL

Glad to be here! I've been out of touch with Imagine for some time; due to work and a rather hectic social life using up all the spare time I used to have (honest :)) and the lack of a mac version I supppose (The office is geared up with G4's). I run a PC at home these days though I don't think I have as much fun as I used too.... Producing images on a 32Mb 1200 and a TV used to be a gas. . . Zipping fast CPU, 2gig of ram, hundreds of gig of HD, dual Dual monitor, naah, it aint the same; the buzz has gone 8) Thought about getting Win Imagine (Struggling to get Amiga Imagine running on UAE); but don't know if It's even available! the impulse site sees very infrequent updates... I'd love to get back into Imagine - I always found it the easiest of all the 3D apps I've used. Adieu, Andy K

Greeting Nuno, Imagine on UAE won't even startup, It causes UAE to quit back to windows . Which is a shame. I use UAE a lot for TV Paint, Photogenics, Pagestream (runs better than it did on my real Amiga). I've just downloaded the Win Imagine demo off coolfun.com; I give a look and see how I like it. Did not know I was a celebrity! 8)

Andy, your work has been on Amiga mags since the early days. I think I still have some disks with your objects. This qualifies you as a celebrity. :) Nice to see you posting here.

Nuno, I'm currently in the process of shifting all the data from my aging amiga hardrives to my UAE installation, and I may make all my Imagine objects etc available on my website (I have stuff going back 10 years or so to imagine 2.0 :)). They might be off interest to some folks. I'll post on the IML when I do.... If I can get imagine to work on my PC I may finish a couple of projects that have been in a state of semi-built many moons since. All the best
