Description

Dedicated to my longtime supporter and fellow Renderosity Artist Sue88. This image shows a close-up of the small spaceport that is part of "Serenity City 2." Observant viewers may notice that the vehicles parked in the spaceport appear to be the same as those used for my space battleship, "The Upholder of Honor." The largest of these vehicles are indeed commercial versions of the support ship used for the battleship. However, the smaller vehicles are actually larger in size than the battleship small craft they are based on. The spaceport image is a nighttime scene; thus, the use of dark purplish-blue lighting and the deeply shadowed trees. Hope you find this image interesting. Also, I want to thank Eromanric for letting me use one of his textures for the spaceport tarmac.

great work..only thing is from here the front row of ships looks like cars..which throws off the scale a bit..;) you could get around that by modelling support vehicles, flying cars (Where's My Flying Cars
-'Ben' Sisko
), but the buildings are first rate.

When I first saw this, my first thought was the space port on "Spaceballs" where Lonestar and Barf land for lunch, which turns out to be the parody of "Alien."

Thanks everybody for the helpful and humorous comments on this image. I am happy to provide laughs along with inspiration in my 3D CGI work. I am a big "Spaceballs" fan myself! :-)

Wow, David, I love this! The night lighting works great! It seems like such an interesting place. "Spaceballs" is one of our family favorites, too. :) Thank you for the dedication, I'm deeply touched! :)
