A friend at work asked me to restring, thereby redesign her old, tired, double strand beaded necklace, strung on cotton thread that had frayed and torn. I added the stone pendant and ecru colored beads in front, strung (some of) them on just one strong metal wire and selected a silver colored clasp, whereas before there was an outdated gold colored clasp. Sure, there are beads left over which I will also give her. My gift to her is the time it took me to go and purchase the materials and, of course, the design. -- I do so hope she will like it! Added Note - each half has 18 smaller beads leading to the clasp. In Hebrew numerology, the number 18 is life.
