Description

This was an image of a sunrise I took yesterday. I started to play around with color possibilities on PhotoShop cs. When I switched it to grayscale I felt that the whole mood & atmosphere of this image changed. I did'nt know which one to upload and decided to do a study on mood changes between a B&W photograph and a Colored one. God they feel soo different. I really would like to know what you guys feel towards the original colored image against the B&W one. Thank you for all your comments on my previous work and the time you spend in my gallery

I like the study in contrast. I too prefer the color as it has more contrast and detail in it.

The warm yellow colors are very important for the mood, and that's missing in the B&W version where the sky could be like a chilly gray November day. Great idea to combine both in one!

Sorry cant help it, like the colored one better too :o) The colored one is more of a happy or at least not depressed mood while the bw one gives a bit of a depressed impression to me... Maybe its because the original has pretty dark colors of itself that the bw one almost doesnt seem bw, but just a very grey day... But i like the bw vs. color study, will we see more ? Excellent work and a vote !!!

Wonderful presentation and, yes, as Gerhard and Dark storm, in this special case, the color one is really more strong. in this shot the kick is gold, without it it loose a dimension. Whatever, an excellent job as ever, you're great and thanks to as us what we think about. V S&S, G.

They both have a story. The golden shower of the morgen, full of expectation, and the sad, dark version. In witch I feel the person is more dominant, and take on a sad role. As in the golden version the person is like facing the sun and embrase it. Yeah, I know, I am a nut ;) The way you stuck it togehter is excellent 2.

both r great. The coloured underlines the relaxed atmosphere of the enviroment. The B&W facuses more on the sad state of mind of the person.
