Description

Here the picture number 2 of the Ottawa serie. I hope you will like it. - Benoit

On the picture you can see locks. Locks for the one who don't know is to allow boat to cross river from river. The boat enter the first lock, then someone open a valve to lower the level of water. When the level is the same as the second lock, the boat pass to the second....and then he's on the other river.

I hope i give a clear description lol. Have a nice day all. Commment are more than welcome. !!!!!!!!:O)!!!!!!

Thanks you very much for your comment on my last picture: Ottawa #1.

Almost too much points of interest in one single image - I like most the lifesaver at the right ;)
Tones and colours are flawless.

I do like it. I am going to visit my wife who lives in Ottawa in two weeks. When I go to the locks, I will be thinking about your beautiful photograph. You really captured the image and spirit beautifully.

I live near the Thames, and with our canals I am used to locks. They never cease to amaze me, though...one of the most potent images of man triumphing over nature...without harming nature in any way
