Simplicity
Super water and pov.

I like the terrain, water and POV inside the canyon walls. The sky is interesting as well with the sunlight only hitting certain spots, and the coloring is great. I don't like the surface. The strata idea is fine but contrast of the orange and black is a bit much, maybe decrease the fractal noise or change the surface colors a bit, or add some child surfaces that are in between colors.... or something :)

Nice terrain and pov! You may add some surface layers for covering the strata a bit (looks more natural) and with different slope levels f.e. for grass or snow or anything like this to make the pic more interesting. I like this pic anyway! You are definitely on the right way. :-)

1 - 3D clouds produce iffy results at best. It's better to avoid using them. 2 - Very good canyon terrain, but it seems a little rough. 3 - Strata: nice overlay, tho a bit red. Do as HeikoH says + defractalize & reduce coverage. 4 - Water: try fewer waves with less roughness + larger patches. Hope this helps - good luck!

I do not understand why this pic is ranked "good" while other pics, really not better than this one, are ranked "excellent"... this is actually the big problem of renderosity. Maybe you have not enough friends here, boqjoe ! Nice 3D clouds and strata.

Actually, I think your 3D clouds are very good. I agree with hillrunner, but it's all so very subjective anyway, and people do tend to expect more when you have shown more artistic ability. Nice strata, though I think I'd tone it down just a little. Nice rays.
