Description

Well, here it is, my entry for the June Bryce Challenge! I dunno. I just think it's fun to relax in totally awesome places like, well, I guess an old trainyard. I haven't, but I imagine it would be awesome. DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNNNNNNNN (dramatic music) "Living is easy, with eyes closed Misunderstanding all you see," Modeled completely in Bryce, post in Photopaint.

This is an amazing piece of work! Everything is perfect, right down to the haze. The colors make it have an industrial feel, and you did an excellent job on the POV. Terrific image!

you should try living a block from the tracks (used to be about 100' from the tracks) relaxing when the engines aren't idling all night..;) glad to see it turned out ok.

Well yes, that would suck, but that's why this one is old, and the train is broken, not working. (you'll notice the run-downness of the background. Whoa. That's a cool word)

Your skill is phenomenal. I have just a little question -- why can we see the back of the 55 mph speed limit sign? Anyway, here's a vote.

I was incredibly impressed before by your locomotive WIP, but the extra details and background also help make this such a excellent render. I love the extra cars and track. I think you could sell a ton of these if you were able to convert your choo-choo into a file-type a stereolithography machine could recognise. I'm sure kids would like to play with this, but I would love to have one of these on my desk, like one of those "Franklin Mint" thingybobs.

I really love the "feel" and "atmosphere" this has, very Decoesque. The only negative (everyone rises up to tell Nukeboy to shut up) is the wheel linkages. I think the ends should be rounded off, i.e. add a cylinder the same width as the linkage at each end, with some sort of bolt or rivet to make it connect. It would give the train (imho) a more realistic look. (Even more nitpicking: it's usually the rear wheels of the engine that have the linkages, not the front or the cars.) Close your ears and don't listen to me; I love this image!

Have you ever seen the game Syberia. It has some of the most amazing graphics Ive ever seen in a game and this reminded me of them. Industrial grime. Thats so hard to get realistically yet you`ve managed it perfectly. Wonderful artwork.
