Description

My wife saw this picture in the newspaper, of a Lemur family. She said "You should draw these!" And I thought that would make a great subject! Then a promptly forgot about them..tic..toc...The other day I was listening to the iPod, on random shuffle (1,793 songs) and a song ended, and I started to hear the sounds of the forest in Madagascar. Then I could hear the lemurs making haunting sounds! The album is Rossy, Island of ghosts, they are from Madagascar. So I figured the Lemurs had spoken! "Get off yer lazy arse, and draw our family!" Ok, ok! have a great Thursday all!! ;) Other color pencil work of mine: Owl (color pencil) Chipmunk (Color pencil) on black paper Bobcat (Color pencil) Puma (Color Pencil) Alien (Color pencil)

Ah the inspirations that lie within the land called ipod...they swirl and rise out of the mind and onto the screen or paper....and like notes, the dots of color separate the blank background at the artists direction...the composer of notes of color...

Pretty decent! The eyes are Very difficult. especially with this medium. I like the shape of eyes on far right, but need too have that specular glow, I think. Like the eyes at mid right; perfect glassy eyed stare!

I can see why you are proud of these drawings you recommended, technically they are beautifully rendered. They deserve to be framed, hung and seen. Your selective palette on this one works a treat. But still, I think you should do as you're doing, trying out ideas in a variety of media.
