Very interesting! I've seen some bioluminescent plankton in ocean waves on the shore at night... an eerie bluish glow. I imagine seeing something like that on land would be fascinating.

This is a real beauty! Yes, you could milk the lichen glow with PS curves but you might be risking some realism in the rest of the pic. I like this image as is.
