Excellent photo, could be a postcard !!! Cute cat too ! :o) The only thing that could be better imho is the sharpness of the pieces of paper...

what a cute moment!

I like the cute kitty sharp and the paper not so sharp...matter of taste I guess. Well done!

We do see the contrast between the joy in chaos and the self satisfaction of the cat ... and we do see the cat itself with well balanced lighting, no barriers to seeing and we do see the eyes well. (I could live with less digital grain and more sharpness on just the cat - it is crucial to make the eyes totally sharp, that is where animal photos become alive - but I make these shots too and I know what that's like; capturing that moment was key and that is the reason to have made the shot.) There are different ways to look at that, portraits often have ALL soft focus, or, this one might be exciting with EVERYthing sharp (to have all sharp would require a small aperture and therefore quite controlled sufficient lighting) ... a lot of photo judges would WANT the cat sharp but the chaos left soft, because otherwise there is way too much here to chase the eye all over the place, we would spend all morning trying to read those crumpled papers instead of seeing the kitty, you want to lead the eye always to the story, and they would expect you to show enough skill to get the depth of field to simply solve that at the time you make the shot ... finding a bgr that doesn't merely interfere is hard enough, here it is actually part of the moment and the story! In photography we are well advised to make all thirteen shots if there is time, and then fish out the very best one, probably that's this one as is ~ and being an animal lover who was a cat person most of my life, this is like a scene showing the abandon and joy of like Christmas morning ! you would not have to be a pure cat lover to appreciate this is a cute moment, and understand the joy that is steeped into the very world and soul of a kitten.
