Description

First render of Baron Vlad Harkonnen's new Electra-Princess of Sparta V3 costume. The initial render had her wearing her helmet, but after trying another without her helmet, I decided to post this one. She looks better without it. Just as Brad Pitt and Eric Bana looked good without their helmets in the movie Troy. (Yeah, I've got Troy fever now! Finally found time to watch the movie on Friday night!) Watch this space for more of her soon!! Hope you all like this one. Criticisms appreciated! Credits: Greek Hoplite costume from Daz3D, background from RDNA freebies.

he may have the brawn, but she has the beauty , the speed and the cunning. She appears to be dancing around him...taunting him, just waiting for the right moment to finish this battle. Thank You!

If you really want criticism, the blond greeks were from the north, the Spartans were all dark haired. I really like the spear, and I've always been impressed with the cloak, helmet, etc. set.

Love the dust they're kicking up! LOL Seriously, she's on the defensive with that pose. And in battle, the warrior who takes the first step defensively, loses ultimately. She's also not holding that spear correctly for any thrusting motion she will need to parry that short-sword he's working with. She would have to draw her arm so far back to get a stabbing motion going that her entire body would be open to attack and she would lose the advantage of dexterity to his brute strength. Also: all swords or same style weapons were worked in the left hand so the shield would be in the right. See how her entire left side is open for his slashing sword? Once slash across her thigh and she'll be down. As for the rendering itself--it's great!!

Great scene and great sense of realism! This is the point! There is "movie" sense of action that you perceive is just happening "now". This is the secret of great illustrators and this image could be peacefully have the signature of Vallejo! My sincere ...repeat sincere...great compliments!

Excellent lighting, and I love the dust they're kicking up. The hoplite seems to have the upper hand though, unless she's fast enough to get out of his reach and get into a position where she can use the reach of her spear effectively.
The dynamics are VERY good. Excellent render!

Ohh, great battle scene! The poses are great, and the way you blurred the dust around the feet gives it a great sense of motion. Can't wait to see more!
