~ it may have contributed to slightly too black blocked out shadows, but I would have expected the sky to run more black too, the red filter worked better than I would have expected. It is good to note this example.

I think it's pretty much perfect. The clouds are brilliant white, the shadows are totally dark. Doesn't get much better than that. I think the darkness of the sky depends on the redness of the filter. So hard to say if the sky should be darker without knowing the filter you used. Great picture.

I've not used a REAL red filter.. I've taken a color shot with the Dimage A1 (with polarizer filter on the lens). Then i've converted the color image in a B/W one using the red component. I'm sorry for the "qui pro quo"..

Ale, you're always trying to push the boundaries of your photography, and this is a fine example. It's a very strong image, and one that I'm sure will inspire you to go out and do other excellent 'filter' manipulated work! M.

Excellent B&W conversion though. The different nuances on the grey scale are very interesting i.e. the trees & the filtered sky gradation. We likes it muchly precious!

I'm a fan of BW and I think that this is very well done! I love, how you captured this beautiful way. I'd like to see the lower part of the image less dark.
