Description

This is a WIP of my next planet NowAndThen and demostrates one of artifacts found on this planet. The challenge of this planet will be to search out and find the lost artifacts from lost civilization that use to be live on this planet. But something happen in the past and signs of civilization are only whats left. I been busy working one mesh ideas and I think I like this one a lot - especially with the transparency of tweek water of Bob's latest world.

Great research in your POV... the alignement of the mesh, sun trail, and distant tower makes for very well designed render.

The artifact was created with Lightwave 8 ( as most of the other artifacts will be in the world - some will be primatives ). I believe I had smoothing turn on when doing it. But anyway thanks.. I maybe try exported and seeing what the file states.

I think Lightwave uses subdivision smooth surfaces for this object smoothening, so if you render your stuff in LW it will look smooth, but I don`t think the subdivision info is being exported together with the object. I can be preaty much wrong:)

What catches my eye is the detail of the vanishing point mixing with the sun trail in that perfect water. Great angle and arrangement.

There will be more of such artifacts and this one will be in different area so its image will be slightly different for explore. I have over a month to create and build. I was going to build a small city it is probably too hard on me and the user.

I like how the distant tower is framed within the ribs of the artifact, along with the tilt makes an excellent shot! Looks like this will be a fun planet to explore.

The low POV reminds me of your excellent "Path of Light" I have in my top 11 pages of my website. This is excellent too Stuwart. Glad to see you rejuvenated. ^_^
