I really like the composition, but the red/yellow/blue color painted onto the sidewalk seems "wrong" somehow. I'm not sure of what I would do to help it, maybe different light or different sorts of maps on the colored areas?

yeah, the modelling is OK, but it deserves better lights, materials and textures... anyway, good composition.
