I still don't know what this bastard is - need to do some research on this one. But still, I think it's creepy! (And it was a big one!)
And Happy Birthday to ToxicAngel!

Most of the time i kinda like bugs, but there are also very nasty ones, this could be one of them :o) Excellent shot !!! I found on the net what it is !!!! proud Its a Clubhorned Sawfly (Cimbex femoratus), i'll paste a short text here from a website: Adult is large (2.5 cm) and impressive with yellow-tipped antennae and yellow on base of abdomen. Wings are smoky and dark-bordered. Flies May-June and makes buzzing sound in flight. Favours birch woods; larvae feed on birch leaves. Rather local.

I don't know what it is either, but I wouldn't want to get close to it. It's a fantastic photo though, whatever it is, a really excellent shot !!!!!
SNAKEY
awwwwwwwwwww. unfair to call it a creepy bastard until you recognise the bug even..... most bugs are as innocent as you and me........they just buzz and dont bite..... Excellent capture though.:O)) P.S. SOMETHING ABOUT THE COLOR OF THE BUG REMINDS OF THE AMERICAN FLAG, DUNNO WHY.;)

Hehehe, you're right SNAKEY, I shouldn't say that it's creepy. But you should know that I had to take few backsteps when shooting this, becouse it didn't like me. Thanks Enmos for your research, now I know what it is.
