Description

This began as a free-hand sketch of a regular little jester/harlequin I was going to color in Painter. But the more I looked at it, the more I decided the world didn't need another ordinary old Mardi Gras-looking clown cluttering up art galleries. So I redid the pose in Poser and decided to do a more Goth/Punk version of a harlequin. Figure, alone, is Poser, rendered in Bryce. Hair, corset and clothes, and the ball all colored in Photoshop and Painter.

And thank God you reconsidered! This is fabulous!!! I get so sick of the renderosity poser machine cranking out bland images!! This one breaks the mold!! This is what poser is best for, to help construct an image, not to make shiny barbies & Kens! I love the punk/goth theme, the composition is superb. Very sweet image!!!

Thank you, Cylithera! :) Yes, generally when I use Poser I just render the figure without any texture whatsoever, then I have total freedom of whatever I want to paint on it. Poser is basically my freedom from frustration in having to watch how I draw my anatomy. XD

She's really cool! Her red and black stockings are very well done. And I really like the composition -- the way way you set it up to look like a playing card.
