Description

Thanks for viewing ! Comments are welcome... I found this little fellow in the garden yesterday, and once again i didnt succeed in identifying it.... This is just a side view so you get a good view of it, the other two (tomorrow, and the day after tommorow) will show the wasp in more interesting poses... Hope you like it :o) Thanks to all that commented on my last photo "Under-the-leaf life" ! Many thanks, Enmos

Your pictures never fail to astound me Jeroen. This one is no different - amazing, crisp, beautiful colours, POV and DOF. He looks familiar though - I think I clocked him on my dandelion the other day, I took a pic of him, but not a patch of this!! Excellent.

I finally found out what it is :D Not that people care probably, its my own little obsession hehe :o) But i want to tell anyway, its an Ornate Tailed Digger Wasp (Cerceris rybyensis). The females stock their nests with paralysed small solitairy bees for their larvae to eat.
