3 am, waking up, thirsty for a life that's gone dry. I didnt expect to walk into you, find you on the street..the typical scenario that never occured to me..could be..
Anyway. A year ago I didnt know who I was.
And when I wake up at 3 am, my mouth like old wood..my tongue feels cracked. Thats when I feel the most solitary.
And what is time, but your mind reminding you..you have to feed the fish, make a sandwhich, plan for children, finish your taxes, drink 8 glasses of water daily, call your mother, write your father, let the cat in, skirt the men who smell of smoke and alchohol on the corner of the street. Go to work, get payed, get older, and retire. Play shuffleboard, eat pureed foods, careful you dont slip and break your hip. Remember to write down everything, take notes, call the doctor, make followup appointments. And remember to stop and smell the fabric roses, with the tiny drops of dewlike glue..Remember to go towards the light, not from it...*Spash*
