Another photo of the interesting palm flower from yesterday.
Actually, I just discovered it is a Philodendron sellom, not a palm plant. Please excuse the misuse in the title. I used to have a large specimen growing behind my old appartment, and only saw it flower twice during my 4 years there.
Anyway, this is an extreme close-up looking down the stamen into the heart of the flower. As some of you noted yesterday, it is very sensual and erotically shaped. I find it fascinating how nature manages to replicate these common themes even from animal to plant.
