Hi everyone, and thanks for visting my home page here on Renderosity.
My gallery here consists of both 2D and 3D work, and I always list the software I used to make it. If you have any questions on how I did something, feel free to contact me.BIOIt really is an honor to have the ability to display my art work here, among such a rich and vibrant world-wide artist community. I am often amazed, and even more often humbled, by the artists and the work I see here.
If you see anything in my gallery that you particularly like, please don't be shy, let me know by leaving a comment or by signing my guest book below. It's how I learn to improve myself, both as an artist, and as an objective viewer of art, so it really is appreciated.
A little about me:
Well, as you can see, I'm kinda too young for my own good. Born in 1957, I refused to emotionally mature any further after age 7, hence the picture here --->; think of this as a precise picture of the emotional me!
I'm a proud Daddy, who practices architecure here in NY all by my lonesome self; I draw, sculpt (when I can), play guitar (when the local ordinances haven't figured out how to stop me), design web sites, create all sorts of digital art, do some light programming and multimedia stuff, and, work out almost every day (one day, when I really grow up, I'm gonna be Arnold!).
Art has been a major part of my life since my 2nd grade friend, Walter, used to draw comic book heroes for me during lunch. That's when the bug hit me, and never left. I always drew things and created stuff, but it was secondary to playing baseball and basektball when I was younger. Today, I still play ball, but my art comes first; you can catch me at my 'puter most of the time, deeply entrenched in Strata 3D, my very favorite 3D program, as you can see from the images in my gallery here - one day, if I practice long and hard enough, I might actually become almost good with it!
Oh crap, Jimmy Neutron is starting...
Gotta Blast!

Nice job, I like the sepia tones.

Chess sets are so metaphorical. I look at this and try to find out which pieces I don't want to be (the pawn, Queen, and King), which piece I wouldn't mind being (the rook), which piece I want to be (the knight), and which piece I am (?). I went to work last night and I was one of each of these pieces at least once. I was checked, I checked, noone ever checkmated, and I came home angry. And I wonder which piece I am now ... and how I could have played differently last night.

Great set. I can almost tell what they feel like. I'd like to have a set like this. (You've done the usual error of getting king and queen round the wrong way?) Fantastic render.

Oh LCGuy, I am very satisfied now to see you make a world WITHOUT milk. he he he. Joking aside, the work is very impressive. I think I can feel the things around this chess set.

Very stylish! Love the colors! Excellent work!

Remember the old chessplayer's proverb: "White on right, queen on her color." Anyway I love the smooth modelling style of these pieces. Excellent work.

Wonderful work, as always! I really like the artsy finish -- it looks like an illustration rather than a perfect, austere 3D render. My only suggestion would be for you to add a little more variety to the board textures. They look too repeated and identical from square to square. Even rotating the textures would break it up a bit. And, once again, Im picking nits this is another stunning image and its difficult to find ways to improve it.

WOW - what gorgeous "Big Uns" - so round, so firm, so fully developed - surely they are silicone enhanced and...oh wait, wrong picture! Sorry Howie, I simply couldn't resist after your dig on my "Eyes" tutorial - seems one has to hint at things sexual to get noticed these days...lol. I really love this render my friend because it portrays the thinker's game of chess so beautifully. Your 3D knowledge just never ceases to astound me which is why it's easy to see why Strata 3D has you Beta testing it's programs. The reflective qualities of the pieces are so masterfully done. Be well my friend!

Cool stuff. I like the king. It kind of looks like the Space Needle, or that building in Las Vegas. Nice modern design.
