Description

In 2269 Starfleet begins the Constitution class upgrade project. The USS Eagle NCC-956 is redesignated as USS Phoenix NCC-800 and is outfitted with Mark IV photon torpedo launchers, docking ports, and Reaction Control Thrusters. The RCS thrusters enable the ship to have independent movement in the newly constructed Space Dock facility without the need for assistance from space tugs. The Phoenix in shakedown trials, accompanied by USS Constitution, at Alpha Centauri Prime.
