Description

this is for our friend armorbeast,who lost his mom a little while back to cancer,,,,,and to anyone who has lost a friend or loved one..please tell the people you love that you love them now. this style of doing things in Black and White with just a splash of color is directly borrowed from my good friend Dave Burdick (dburdick)...Dave you are an inspiration..

Amazing and very touching image. I was so sorry to hear about Steven's loss - I lost my mom to cancer years ago when I was seventeen, and I know his pain. This is a lovely expression of condolence. All the reason to love those still with us even more.CC

Bill, incredibly touching piece -- and thanks for the comment -- back at you. This work is really brilliant on so many levels, but the emotion that comes through on this is simply masterful. Like so many of your other works, this should be a museum piece. As all the comments listed here indicate, everyone can relate to this in a very personal way. In my loss Bill,I found that so many people here on rosity understood what i was going through while here in real life my own family and moms friends were not very supportive at all.It is so sad that when we are alive people seem to be your friends until you need them...then when things are at their darkest you find you are virtually alone.My mother was a very strong person as well as being very sweet...she didn't cry and she wouldn't admit to the agony she was in-we were never as close as we should have been and Bill you are so right in saying that we should always tell people how much we love them-I didn't and will regret it always because I needed someone here for myself so I could find strength when mom had none to give-I didn't see that she was giving me strength until after she was gone-I have so much admiration for my mother now,I am so proud of her and all the emotions I had locked away for so long are now overwhelming me-you don't know what you have til its gone-I lost the only person int the world that truly loved me and even though neither of us could talk with one another and share that love in life,I now do nothing but talk to her and wish I had said these things to her when she was alive-I did tell her I loved her and even though she couldn't speak,I could see it in her eyes that she loved me too-but ohh I had so much more to say that wasn't said so never hold back-say it now and even if you have hope of a recovery like I did,it may not happen and you'll lose your only chance to say what you need to say!!Thanks Bill on behalf of all who have lost loved ones...thanks so much!!!
