Description

Canon 10D + Sigma 105mm EX Macro (taken, for once, with the flash *shock horror*) ISO 200 f6.7 1/200 For the photography challenge a while ago (Wet, I believe) I took some shots of frog-spawn. Here is the result. This little chap could sit on the tip of my index finger and still have room to relax. I love baby frogs...but as the title says...it's a Big Bad World out there...and I hope it has the strength to survive. And for no particular reason, I'm going to post the lyrics to a song that, to me, sums up many of my thoughts about photography. Gold Dust - Tori Amos Sights and Sounds pull me back down another year I was here I was here Whipping past the reflecting pool me and you skipping school And we make it up as we go along We make it up we go along You said You raced from Langley pulling me underneath a Cherry Blossom canopy Do I Have Of course I have Beneath my raincoat I have your photographs And the sun on your Face I'm freezing that frame And somewhere Alfie cries and says Enjoy his every smile You can see in the dark Through the eyes of Laura Mars How did it go so fast you'll say as we are looking back and then we'll understand we held gold dust in our hands Sights and Sounds pull me back down another year I was here I was here Gaslights Glow in the street flickering past Twilight held us in her palm as we walked along And we make it up as we go along We make it up as we go along Letting names Hang in the Air What color hair auburn crimson Autumn knowingly Stared and the day that She came I'm freezing that Frame I'm freezing that frame And somewhere Alfie smiles and says Enjoy her every cry You can see in the dark Through the eyes Of Laura Mars How did it go so Fast You'll say as we are looking back and then we'll understand We held gold dust in our hands in our hands Thanks for viewing

Cute frog. A metallic one? This baby looks very bored. Maybe is she waiting for something changing in her life ;) I'm really amaze to see how you succeed in giving personnality to your subjects!

Gold and silver metallic tones ...beautiful! An excellent close-up! I also have a soft spot for frogs ...having rescued many from the jaws of a certain cat! Regards M. :))

"i remember once walking out hand in hand with a boy i knew, and it was summer, and suddenly before us was a field of gold. gold as far as you could see. we knew we'de be rich for ever. we filled our pockets and our hair. we were rolled in gold. we ran through the field laughing and our legs and feet were coated in yellow dust, so that we were like golden statues or golden gods. he kissed my feet, the boy i was with, and when he smiled, he had a gold tooth. it was only a field of buttercups, but we were young." (winterson, the powerbook) supplement for your(toris) words:) and wonderful shot! to make world a bit better place:)

Yet another excellent capture. I tried once to shoot a tree frog but he would never stay still and it was really bad light...not a good result...kinda psychedelic.

This reminds me of grade 10 Science class... I wasn't the only one who refused to dissect the froggies! This one is much cuter than my fermaldahyde-frozen pal. Little tail! Great shot, but I'd like to have seen his cute little toady face.
